RETROFIT QUESTION
Hi,
I have a 2002 3.0d E53. I want to chuck out the standard radio and CD front loader in the dash and install the Widescreen NAV monitor only. I don't need the GPS function at all - just like the look of the new monitor. Can this be done? I will obviously just need the unit to work with FM and the 6 CD changer in the boot. I have a Garmin so don't want the whole GPS module functioning too. Regards, John :dunno: |
You MUST have either the Nav computer or a TV/Video Module to be able to operate the widescreen 'bordmonitor'. TV/Video module is the cheaper alternative if you don't actually want to pick up TV with it.

And remember, the X53 MUST have a Mk4 nav unit to drive the flip-up screen (CID)
