Good, and the other 2?

So

1=gb(f)
2= ??
3=??

ToyMaker_GR 03-18-2010 11:55 AM

Oops, you got me there. I must go to the car and check the other two languages. I will let you know as soon as possible.
Please keep in mind that I will use the 2010 HIGH Navigation DVD, and will drop all other languages except english to make it fit in a 4.7GB DVD. Does this have to do with the languages you are talking about?

Please forgive my newbieness, I am dumbfounded by the amount of information I have come up with the last couple of days, and I am trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

Edit: *IF* I'm not mistaken, the languages are "GB", "D" and "FR".

OK, The fact that you use English means that I can let you have the UK only one, if you tell me what other langs you have I can mod it and make the alerts on/off work correctly for you.

As for the 2010-1 map disc, you will need to mod it so that the alerts work, Navteq have modded the disc to block unused POI from the carinDB, so you need to unblock the military bases POI.

I have a patch for this if you need it.

Ok, I just checked it out and the available languages are D, GB and F (in that order). So is it safe for me to use the BMW_V32_All (the one you posted in page 27)?

I don't really care about the military bases. As far as I know, the 2010 high disc already includes the major speedcams, I just need the system to warn me audibly about them. Can you give me a link so that I can read how to patch the DVD with new POIs, if I come across them?

No, I'll PM you a link with all the UK mods.

I'll need to custom make it.

That will be news to me mate, the OEM disc do not come with speed cameras.

Again not a feature of the OEM disc, this also needs mods to work.

Use the POISon thread mate, that has all you need, I'll make sure the OS is done so you just need to do the Map disc (I'll let you have a link to the map patch).

ccfj1,
Thanks again. I just installed "all mods 1010" for my Mk IV (M5). Looks great. I had been running one of your older mods from over a year ago, I think. Nice improvements. I like the blue menu colors.
Cheers,
Sam

Glad it's all working :)

ToyMaker_GR 03-22-2010 05:12 AM

You are the man, ccfj1!
Everything's worked fine, the firmware update, the navi dvd, everything...thanks a lot!
I got no screenshots, since it is no different that other screenshots already posted.

I saw a setting saying something like "Camera's warning" on / off. I haven't tested it yet on a camera - dense area, so I don't know the actual details. Will this setting show camera icons and audible alerts when I turn it on?

On and off show the icons, on allow alerts to be heard, off does not, (this is a hack to the languages setting so if you have a TV or ULF, you may get some interesting results.

alert off means that there will be a pause in audio playback instead of warning (also the language changes to italiy on hi cluster), this pause is not good but there is no way around i think.
