US Cam Question

Hey guys,
I'm planning a road trip in the near future and think it's a good time to get myself up to date with the cams in the US. I've been looking at both POISon/Navtweak and PimpMyNav for adding the cams, so please share your feelings on that.

Also, what cams (source/db/type) are you all running? I'm not finding any fully comprehensive list for the US (looking on POI Plaza) so please feel free to enlighten me.

Thanks in advance.

Why don't you just get a Passport 9500xi... Its a subscription laser / radar detector and contains a list of traffic cameras...

PASSPORT 9500ix- Escort Inc

While that would be a very good (probably ideal) solution, I don't really want to drop $500 on it currently, and the detector I'm running has done a good job so far. It is a great product and thanks alot for pointing it out, I'll definitely be looking to it for an upgrade when that time comes.

To anyone with similar questions as in my OP, I ended up using PMN and utilizing the trapster database as of yesterday (05/17/2009). I plotted the areas I travel in daily as well as the routes for my upcoming trip, downloaded the .csv files and then burned them into a modified disc. I was using the 2009.1 dvd and was able to add multiple poi files as well as remove languages right from PMN. A great product that really helped speed along the process.

coool! Good luck... BTW, if your other radar detector is a V1 (like mine was) the Passport 9500 series blows away the old V1 IMO... You can do a hidden install with the 9500ci or the standard windshield one with a 9500i or ix...

The GPS feature is amazing... you program it to remember false positives in your home area... the thing never goes off--unless there is a reason for it to... GPS > arrows... ;)
