HELP screen goes black
 

I just bought a navtech cd 2003.1 for my 2002 x5 and when i load it in the nav system it takes a while to give me the option to choose the country and then ussually freezes up when i chose the state. When it freezes up it will turn black and then restart in like 5 min. I will be try it again and the same think happens. The CD i bought was for BMW/Land Rover and does not look like the map i recieved with the car (bluw with a compus on it). This one is silver and says navtech. Whats the problem? It not the system because it will load up the cd i got with the suv in seconds. I did some reasearch and everyone said the silver ones bmw/land rover should work.
