Change just navi comp mk3 from e46(buisness) to e39(16/9)

Can I change just COMPUTER(MK3)... because my originall broke and now I bought a second, which was connected to the E46 BUSINESS navigation on the radio this [img] http://www.thunder-online.de/ebay / Navigation_Business.jpg [/ img]
I have a 16 / 9 screen in the E39 ...

-is it just plug and play or i must put some new softwer?

-when i change computer, should i just turn off car or i must unplug battery
