No sound , need coding or dead amp?
I have been fixing the sound and nav system in my car due to water damage . I bought a used Mk3 computer and a new radio unit . I hooked up everything, and all works normal , exept i don`t have any sound . Suddenly a couple of days later , i turned up the volume and there was sound . I was happy . But then two mornings after no sound one again..
The radio unit I bought was a different part no. than the other , do I need coding or is my amp dead .. Umounted the amp today , I have tested that the amp has power , and it was warm . Any ideas ? Jochen ??? heheheh |
try the following:
When the amp fails, monitor the audio out of the radio module - use a speaker or voltmeter If the radio has audio but the amp has stopped, it must be an amp pborble. If the amp is original to the car then it won't be a coding issue... |
ok. Thanks alot. Which cables are the speakers/audio from the radio unit ? color ?
