Backup camera ideas ... before i kill someone
 

Seems i can hardly see past my own bumper these days and the 5% tint doesn't help either :doh:
Backing up at night is an accident waiting to happen. What are the options for my 06/ No Nav?
I did do a search but I am getting confused as to the nav part, is there a way I can get a visual aid without oem nav?
If so how would the display be mounted?

ps. my husband has the backup display in his rear view mirror, I love that set up but assume it's too much to hope for.

An LCD rear view mirror is about £150 on eBay, and a camera that replaces one number plate lamp is about £30 also on eBay.
The mirror might also be able to run blutooth and GPS.

Does anyone have any experience with this type, pros/cons?

You need to have a widescreen 16:9 monitor and the OEM kit then comes with a module for cars without the TV option so you can use the camera.

can we use the e46 rear-view camera retrofit kit and use these types of camera setups instead of the ones that come with the kit? i prefer to replace one of the number plate lights with this than use the setup that comes with the kit (which means having a small button for the trunk release and a "not so nice" camera).
