@tm..88: sounds like you bent a pin in your connector.

From the kits I've seen you need to disconnect the cable going to the steering wheel to add aux.

@richard: do you lose steering wheel control? I need aux for wife's x. Mine came with a Bluetooth module (media bridge): imagine my surprise when I discovered that Easter egg!
