I had asked him who made the LCD screens he had, which he said were oem, and he said, "some Japanese company," so I didn't get positive verification about the origin of the screen, but it could still be Sharp. I'm having a BMW technician remove and replace the monitor into the dash in a few weeks from now to see if it just a matter of how I placed it in - maybe it's pushing up against some cable that's causing it. Again, there are faint white lines going in a downward direction very fast, which move with the engine signal (they disappear if when I shut off the engine) - they're not even real easy to see, it's just that it wasn't an issue before I had the work done, and I've sunk so much money into this system, I want it to work perfectly..

Have you considered installing a power filter or ground loop filter? For example BMW had a large power filter mounted to the wiring harness for the DVD system they sold. Got these photos from Someone else's write-up.

So the ebay vendor is eflow666. His name is Jimmy Chen and his contact information is listed on the ebay listing. He has been repairing BMW, Mercedes and Jaguar nav screens & on-board monitors for over 14 years. For a cost of $200 he will repair an on-board monitor to make it functional again (i.e. if the tape deck no longer works, etc). If it is determined that the LCD panel needs to be replaced, or if you already know that it needs to be replaced and just want a new LCD panel installed, the cost is $270 to replace the panel with a brand new one. His turnaround time is about 3 business days. If you have any questions I suggest you call him with your specific issues and get his recommended fix. BTW, don't bother going through ebay, just deal directly.
