Nav acting strange
Have any of you guys experienced this situation with you nav unit. I was driving along when my radio just shut off. A few seconds later the screen started to retract and close as if I was loading a cassette. The screen was also flashing on and off. It did this for 5 minutes or so. The screen then displayed a note...monitor shutting down because it is overheating. I pulled over and checked the fuses by the sub. The fuses were cool so I just left them out for a minute or so. After plugging them back in, all was well...whatcha guys think...power surge :dunno: Phil

Hi 4.6is Ryder
My X5 did the same some months ago. Got in the car, started up and the screen started to flash then open up then close then open up again, it went on for about 3 minutes until I turned off the engine. I went and rang a local dealer who said he thought it just got its "Knickers in a twist" I went back out started the car and everything was fine, it hasn't done it since! X5 Gremlins!!! |
:iagree: Probably gremlins and hopefully doesn't become a regular event.
