bracket for the MKIV
 

Hey guys,

I need another bracket for the MKIV. Mine has the number 097B196 - does that sound like a correct part #?

Thats not a good number. Do you have any pics of the parts you have?

no pics sorry. It's just a sleeve that slides over the MKIV that provides the 4 mounting holes to mount the drive into the bracket...

OK, so what part is missing? The right or left vertical bracket?

it's a complete unit, I just need a second one to mount a second component in there...

If so, that's PN# 65 90 8 385 987, the bracket is about $15 from your local dealer.

As a rule of thumb, BMW part numbers are always in the same format (2 numbers, 2 numbers, 1 number, 3 numbers, 3 numbers).
