problems with Software-Update Navi02 E65
 

Good morning,

first of all, sorry for my bad english, but I´m from germany.
I have a problem with my Navi02. After a software update from V21.1 to V22 everything went OK.
But when I tried to update from V22 to V32, it shows "Software-update is in progress..." and after a while screen goes white, then black, and thats it. No more messages or something else on the screen.

When I reset (battery off) the Navi02, it shows again "Software-update is in progress...".
Can somebody help me with this problem? I tried a different DVD-drive (to be sure there is no read-error etc.) but it didnt help.

Hi, I have 745 li 2002 whit navi01. I did same and same message . plssssss if someone knows what we can do to fix this error halp us.

Maybe it is a problem with the update CD. have you tried burning another CD or getting an OE CD from BMW?

Hi. thanks to reply. yes I DID 4 time whit v 32 cdes burn form2 mode 1 but on i drive showing SOFT WARE LOADING IS IN PROGRESS
on nav system light for power is on but light for cd in is off
I did call bmw dealer she told me cost almost $400 to $800 this is a not gold.
mybe I need v32 for navi01 (cd not dvd) I am not sure i burn cd var. can i ask if anyone have cd ver pm me plessss. THANKS

V32 is for MK4 navi not iDrive no? I think iDrive the OS update is on the map disk?

The Vxx OS update CDs also update the NAVI01, NAVI02, and NAVI03 nav computers in the E65/E66.

U.S. BMW dealers sell the OS update CD for less than $10 USD. It is part number 01.59-0 141 891. If a dealer quoted you $400 - $800, they may have misunderstood and been quoting something else. I would give your dealer another call and specifically ask for this part number.

Hi Brian-BMW I call bmw van today asking for that part # HE TOLD ME THEY CAN SELL SOFTWEAR cd . anyway still i am looking for v32 cd if any one can help me ples.

Contact getbmwparts.com and see if they will send you the V32 disc that Brian told you to get. They are in Maryland I think.
