Nav advice...

So I need some advice. I have an '11 328i on order. Its got everything I want, and nothing that I don't. That said, BMW changed around the options and Navigation is about $1,100 cheaper, so $900. I didn't order nav because I want to keep this car for a while and am also trying to keep costs down. With my last E90 I have just bought a new TomTom every year.

I rented a 1er a couple weeks ago with iDrive and Cover Flow... What would you all do? Get the nav with the discount, or keep with the original plan? I go into production in probably two weeks and pick up at Welt in October.

I would stick with the original plan, that way there is no way to be disappointed.

You mentioned it has everything you want and nothing you don't; I think you answered your own question.

Plus don't be fooled you will still be paying them extra cash (It ain't coming free) :)

I would get the nav. For me, it is a no-brainer. I have had integrated nav in my cars for the past 11 years. I could not imagine driving any other way. With a Garmin or TomTom, you have to go the extra mile to setup it up on the dash and it doesn't look good. In regular use, they are not significantly superior to an integrated nav system. But, integrated nav systems are so much more convenient because they are always there for you.

Consider the value of the car with NAV when selling or trading in...

It's been my experience most used car buyers of higher end vehicles will want all the options and shop specifically for cars with leather, NAV, etc. If your car is worth an additional $750 w/nav package upon trade-in may be very worth it. Plus with more and more nav systems becoming standard and all the latest ipod integration gear out there I can't see not having the factory NAV in a brand new beemer :D
