NAV SCREEN LOST COLORS
The screen of my nav. ( MKIV 16:9 V32 DAY-NIGHT ) started to show images as they are missing a color, probably blue (It seems like "sepia"). All looks OK, all works just fine and display fine, radio, navigation , configuration etc. just that the colors are like washed out. I close the monitor and when I open it again few minutes later It works fine but only for one or two minutes.I have read this http://www.xoutpost.com/electronics/...one-color.html but I am confused how to do this. Any suggestion? Thanks

Sounds like a duff lcd mate

hi mate, i suggest to check also wiring loom on BM, VM (or NAV) depending on instalation because video signal is transmitted via rgb from TV module (or NAV module) to BM so any loose connector or wire on RGB signal can let BM a color short

I had the same issue and ended up disassembling the unit and cleaning the ribbon cable connections both in the head unit and in the monitor. This was successful and completely resolved the issue with just some time and patience and $0.

I will try this. How I find the ribbon cable connections in the monitor? |
The ribbon cables a the flat flexible cables that connect the head unit body to the monitor. You have to disassemble the unit and screen assembly to gain access to the connectors at both ends. It is fairly easy but involves patience and careful hands.

The way I did this was tilting the screen while still connected to vehicle power then removing the connectors from the head unit while the screen was still tilted open.
