MK3 to MK4 conversion
 

My mom keeps complaining about the navi on her 02 4.6is. I've identified it as an MK3. It's slower than I've seen any navi. I understand it's plug and play switch to MK4... Any details? And where can I buy one?

it is plug and play. check ebay, search worldwide...chances are you will come to a lithuanian seller who has one.

Literally just pull the hard drive out, and put the new one in? No re wiring, nothing?

nothing on the hardware side, just plug and play... you probably will have to update the firmware to the latest v100, which is v.32 disk, as the nav comp might be of older firmware. the newer firmware gives you the prospective view... or, if you have custom firmware, then use that...
