Anyone have NavTweak or CarMES GifExtractor?
Hi,
I am trying to change the splash screen for my MKIV. I have downloaded the NavTweak and GTK+ from: http://www.xoutpost.com/electronics/...-navtweak.html but couldn't get the NavTweak to work. Does anyone have NavTweak or CarMES GifExtractor that is working? I will appreciate if you can send me one. Thanks! |
got to the below link, that's where i got mine..
"http://www.neiloakley.com/" |
Thanks!
How do you run it with GTK+? I downloaded the GTK+ zip file and unzipped it but unable to install the GTK+. I followed the guide from http://www.xoutpost.com/electronics/...-navtweak.html |
There should be an executable GTK file (gtk-2.12.9-win32-1.exe), i used this on Win XP.
|
Ok, thanks a lot! I will give a try again after work.
|
Oh, awesome! It's working now after I googled the executable GTK filename and was able to download from sourceforge.net.
Since I am following ccfj1's old guide on http://www.xoutpost.com/322895-post101.html. Do I still need to fake the "SoftwareVersion" to update the same version on my MKIV ver. 32? |
Good question, I haven't successfully created one yet, so I'm giving a try myself.
|
Or use DGreekStallion method;
"...Instead of using modified .tbl files to fake the software version, I just downloaded an older ISO [v29] and extracted the same .tbl files from that one and copied them onto the new ISO, which is v32." |
So, i was able to try different splash screens that i've downloaded, but wasn't able created on my own.
Anyways, the .tbl update wasn't that hard to do and i was able to updated that and tried it and it worked. I used the "v32_Night_all_ORG_v2 - POIson" and based on that software version 10.01, i changed it to 10.02 and voila mk4 took it and i got a new splash screen... Will try different splash screen that i've created using Snagit and software version will increment by one.. i.e. 10.02.... |
