FWIW, I think it's a great watch.

I have a Tag and it is my favorite timepiece. Unfortunately, I'm not in the market for another one. I've got too many watches and too many dive watch/computers, and all my discretionary income is going to upgrading my X5 right now.

I also think your price is a bit high. Regardless of MSRP, you can get most Tag's (e.g., at www.ashford.com ) brand new for $1,100 or less. I'm not sure what you paid for yours, but "market value" is probably considerably less than you're asking.

Just curious, went to the web site at ashford and found this quote:

Authenticity: Ashford.com buys and sells only New and Genuine Brand Name Watches purchased directly from established dealers and other watch distributors. This watch may have had its serial numbers removed since leaving the original authorized manufacturer;

Should this concern me if I am in the market for a Tag?

I've purchased several watches from Ashford, and all have come with serial numbers intact and all original documentation. However, you might want to call them and confirm whether the sentence you quoted (about some serial numbers being removed) is going to apply to the specific watch you're buying.

BTW, I'm not necessarily recommending buying from Ashford or any other particular place...I was just using them because they've been around awhile, seem to have a good reputation, and as an example of pricing purposes.

I've also bought stuff from Jomashop (http://www.jomashop.com/tag-heuer.html ), who warrants that serial numbers, etc. ARE intact on all their Tags. In fact, this is my Tag, which I bought at Jomashop: http://www.jomashop.com/cl111a-ba0700.html .

As with everything on the internet, you have to consider the "buyer beware" aspects of shopping at any of these places and satisfy yourself that you're buying from someplace reputable. You very well might be more comfortable buying Cesar's watch, rather than from some internet "store."

Yeah, Ashford sometimes scratches the serial number, you wont know until you get it.
I think my price is fair, considering that it comes with both bands, the rubber band and its buckle sell for almost $250 alone.

....and you may well be helping Cesar to adopt a vintage BMW moto-scooter, a worthy cause.
