Week Two preview/review

Hey Juan you can thank me for saving your season anytime for cutting Pedington to make room for Troy Brown who did give me six...so I cut a qb to make six points.......I must be a moron...then I hope and pray he slips though waivers....damnit....even if I let him ride the bench all year it is addition by subraction.

LOL

Yeah, I was surprised to see him in the available list after the monster game he had against the Titans. I just grabbed him as insurance. Don't forget, before he got hurt, Pennington led the league in QB rating. Pennington may not have the strongest arm in the world, but he IS a good quarterback. Delhomme will give me a lot of points now that Steve Smith is back... But, I needed an insurance policy.

thanks, buddy!

Juan

Yeah well I cut him before I left to go tailgating myself...I wish I had thought it through a bit more....I kept checkin the Treo for stats while at the game and became more n more horrified as he was piling up the yards...I must have tried ten times to reclaim him off waivers. THIS SUXXXXXXXX!

I dont know if Smith is back yet...

Sep 14 Smith was listed as questionable for Carolina's game at Minnesota this Sunday. The All-Pro wide receiver strained his left hamstring on Sept. 5 and missed the season-opening 20-6 loss to Atlanta. Without their main offensive threat, the Panthers struggled against the Falcons. Smith missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday to rest the injury.

Advice: Smith would only say that he is day-to-day, but hamstrings generally take a long time to heal and it's very possible he'll sit again this weekend to make sure he doesn't make his injury worse. Drew Carter started in his place last weekend and made five catches for 62 yards. Smith doesn't seem likely to start, so keep an eye on Carter

I would defintley start your man with the jets. Carolina looks completely lost out there...all that superbowl talk with this team...I dont think I buy it!

Yeah, they look lost out there, or at least they did last week. Remember, though, that they lost the first game of the season last year, and then went on a tear.

You may be right on starting Pennington, though... or my third QB, Jake Plummer.

I blew it with my QB this week. How 'bout we retroactively change the rules and count the bench points as well.

Rex for MVP!

Pennington to Cotchery is turning into quite a passing combination. Unfortunately I had Cotchery on the bench, although my other free agent pickup Marques Colston had another great day. Anyone interested in a trade or two?
