Suggestion for 2008 FFL

Shame on me for not bringing this up earlier, but I noticed that some of the league scoring rules possibly make the games a little less competitive than they could be. This is not a shot on Juan, but simply a suggestion on how to make the league more fun and more competitive.

1 passing point is awarded for every 50 yards completed. That's way too big of a gap. A QB who goes for 199 yards gets the same number of points as a QB who goes for 150. Rushers receive a point for every 20 yards rushing. That's not as bad a gap, but 20 yards equates to 5 carries in order to get a point.

My suggestion in regards to yardage is to go to a fractional measure - 1/10 point per yard which then makes every yard gained meaningful as applied to points totals.

Also receivers also get no points for pass receptions. Tight ends and possession receivers like Wes Welker or Armani Toomer who catch alot of balls but don't get alot of yards are devalued because the number of catches don't count.

Return yards should be added so that players like Devin Hester and Dante Hall can become viable roster additions.

There are probably a few others that should be added or adjusted.

Considering the amount of waiver wire work that everyone is putting into their teams, all of the X5world team owners are becoming very knowledgeable how the game should be played. As the owners get better, then the rules should be adjusted to befit their experience level.
