wife wants a LR3/LR4.... opinions?

because I'm selling my x5 the wife and I are trying to find another car that we both like. she really wants an LR4, but if we can't get it for the right price she would settle for a LR3. I'm more interested in an e70 with 3rd row or a q7. I just wanna get everyone's opinion on each car

The Q7 blows. And I say that as a VAG guy. I am seriously disappointed with the first gen. Hopefully the second gen is better.

I have no experience with the Land/Range Rovers.

E61Silver is an unknown quantity at this point
The second generation Q7 looks ok and has meaningful improvements.

Buy 2 LR's so you can drive one while the other is in the shop.

They have serious reliability problems if you believe what JD Power has to say.

I heard the same thing about bmw and Audi. I had an Audi with 150k miles and in a year the only problem I had was a bad crank sensor. my x5 had 105k and I dropped t off at a shop and had everything fixed. 2 years later only time it left me stranded was a failed fuel pump.

I like the e70 because it's real sporty from what I read. I love the interior. I never drove one but I like what I see from the 0-60 numbers.

I like the q7 because I'm a VAG guy at heart. I never drove or sat in one before but I love the front and back of the car and the interior is ok. the 0-60 numbers are similar to my e53 but I like that a tune and a different supercharger pulley can get me 100hp more.

I like the rugged look of the lr3 I like that I sit nice and high, has lots of head room and the seats are comfortable. I never drove one but I'm worried about the mpg and the 0-60 is similar to my e53

the x5 and Audi I would have to finance with the x5 being more affordable for me. the lr3 I have the money to buy it

The interior of the q7 looks okay in pictures, but it is crap to touch. Everything is hard. The leather is stretched so tight that it isn't plush. The door cards are developing stress cracks for god knows what reason and it's two years old. It also drives like a mini van.

Get an E70 LCI Diesel IMO

My mom had a Q7 TDI Prestige and it was honestly very boring to drive compared to the X5 in my opinion

if the Land Rover was available in diesel here in the us I'd be all over it but it has its own variation of the m60/m62.

the q7 looks like an oversized avant and it just looks like it drives like a minivan. but it's about a foot longer than the x5 and I have small kids so I don't know if I would need the extra foot or not. they like to ride their bikes and scooters at the park so I might need it.
