Marthafocker! Picked up a giant ass bolt in my 9 day old new Pirelli. Quest. 4 U guys

What are your guy's opinions on the patch and plug? I had to have it done. It went all the way through. I know it'll hold but I'm curious if I can push the car as hard and fast as without the fix.
It was the plug and patch combo done at Discount Tire, if that matters.
I ask because from what I've read across the Turdfly Tire Forum that it should be just as good as new, but the Discount Tire genius claims to have been told that their repair job will knock the tire down 1 speed rating. ex. a Z rated tire will now be a Y. These Pirelli Scorpion Asym. are W rated. So bumping it down to V would limit me to 149 mph. not very likely I'll ever even reach that speed. i'm just curious, though. I'm debating replacing just the damaged tire since I only have less than 300 miles on all 4. i think i could get away with one.
thanks.
