The new Mercedes-Benz CLS-500

Well my dad and I just got back from the Auto Show here in Atlanta. Man was the new CLS-500 awesome. My dad absolutely loved it. MB really has some nice cars that look so much better the some of the new BMW's. It was truly beautiful. Not to mention the new 3 was there.

Yeah I like the CLS too... I would love a CLS55! I think it's a really cool looking car. I like the back a lot.

But the question is...can you FIT inside one...

I've been inside a CLS500 at my local Benz dealer last month. While the beautiful sloping line of the roof is fantastic, chances are that you will receive more concussions by owning a CLS than during your high school football times.

I'm 6' 1", and I could NOT get adequate headroom in the rear at all. Like, impossible. My head was rubbing against the headliner.

So, I am afraid that the CLS-class is just a sleek looking E-class. I do NOT dig the Jaguar S-Type-derived dashboard, either.

I'll stick with an E500; just as fast, more space, $10000 less at least; thank you very much.

Just saw one in person and it looks very sleek and sexy. Not sure I like the headlights but the rear is neat.

That large slab of wood just doesn't warm me up. At least, they could have given it a less "organic" shape, and made some edges...

I think the dash is fine... But the huge slab on the passenger's side IS a bit overwhelming.

Ya... Noticed that about the dash as well. As for the rear seats... It is hard to get into but once you are in you are fine. My dad and I thought we had plenty of room and he is no small person. Plus I would be the only one riding in the back. I just have never come back from an auto show with my Dad, not me, wanting to go test drive a car. I would not mind it replacing the 530. I have to tell you this car looks so much better in person then it does on pictures.

He also keeps stressing that CLS are his initials.
