im sure bspn and all these other critics will start criticizing kobe for taking too many shots....but bottom line is kobe is playing along side with a bunch of scrub players and yet we still have a winning record of 22-19....MVP for kobe should be a lock-in no questions asked

He's a pretty amazing player. Wish I had seen the game too! I saw him at the Warriors game about two weeks ago, simply amazing the way he moves and some of the impossible shots he makes!

Kobe's consecutive free throw string was snapped at 62 in a row. He said in the postgame interview that he was pissed about this.

It's entirely possible that Kobe may end up averaging over 40 PPG by season's end. But we already saw against Sacramento that the Lakers can lose when Kobe scores 50 points. Someone else has to step consistently, and evidently, it's not going to be Lamar.

Saw the entire game and Kobe was unbelievable!!! He ONLY had 20 something at the half and the Lakers were getting crushed. He started to go off mid-3Q and his teammates were feeding him the ball on every possession. They even started to stand around while he went to work against double and triple teams. While he did force quite a few shots, they were going in. Plus, no one else could make a shot (Kwame sux). He was so hot that he almost had to keep shooting; a truly remarkable performance.

Hard being a Laker fan on the East coast, b/c no one really understands how good he is. I think this may trump Wilt's 100 point game b/c Wilt took 17 more shots than Kobe did (not to mention 10+ more free throws) and most of Kobe's shots were from at least 15 feet (don't think Wilt was shooting many 20 footers).

Unreal. Makes being a Clipper fan that much harder.... I was at the game a few weeks back where he scored 50 against the Clips.

But I was a Laker fan first and I can't help but think we are witnessing the best player in NBA history coming into his own....

Go Kobe... Unstoppable.

Yup Kobe I'd say is in his prime....but Lakers managment have this whole retarded 2007, 2008 plan, but realistictly who is left? Lebron?...he'll resign with the Cavs..Kobe going into battle every night alone..it'll wear him out and we want his prime to last .....if I was Mitch Cupcake I would do all I can to land Chris Bosh and Morris Peterson or Jalen Rose for Odom, Kwame Brown and whoever else we need to give up for the salaries to match.

I'll jump on the "how many assists does he have?" bandwagon... I'm not a kobe hater, I just don't think you're helping the TEAM by being so 1 dimensional.
