DaimlerChrysler cuts white-collar jobs
Not huge news, but...
DaimlerChrysler said Tuesday it will cut administrative staff by 20% worldwide over three yesrs, dropping 6,000 jobs so save some $1.2 billion a year. Sixty percent of the cuts will be in Germany. I'm sure you guys heard about the Ford overhaul as well? Pretty soon everyone's job will be done by a robot! Or we will have robot arms and legs so we never get tired.
