Looks a lot like a 4Runner, too.
GL-Class=4Runner/Grand Cherokee

and the G-Wagon looks like an H2 Hummer/Land Rover Discovery.

I agree.. but what's so sad here is that Jeep is a fellow (Daimler)Chrysler brand. From the photos, MB didn't even try to modify the Cherokee body. All they did was extend the top roofline 6 inches and softened the wheel arches.

MB never made a good looking SUV in my opinion. I use to like their cars but then they decided to go with the all curves look and screw them up. I actually prefer the Jeep SRT8 a TON over their new M class.

So sad. They've made some crap lately. The RL is silly and nothing more than a gussied up Pacifica, the GL is atrocious, and the ML has always been crappy. As a matter of fact, I was told today by a reliable source from M-B that they are having fits with some software issues in the '06 ML's transmissions.

I'd still kill for an SL55 though.

Yeah, but that Mercedes grill and headlamp treatment is worth worth an extra $30 grand, isn't it???

Back when this deal happened and the two companies merged it was like MB caught a virus and is now dying a slow death....the share holders should vote every proxy and remove as many board members as they can.

M-B Mini Van

I was driving the other day and even saw a M-B mini van that looked exactly like a caravan. Boy has the Jeep brand took a turn to the bad. Our two last Jeeps )Grand Cherokee and Liberty) were a awful things to drive and cheaply made. It makes the X5 a dream!

Man, that IS horrible. It's a Grand Cherokee with a three-pointed star on the grill!
