How many of you..

Jumped from BMW to Audi, Mercedes-Benz, etc.. and what made you decided to go that direction.. just out of my own curiosity

This is a question for Ron aka Thunder22. He jumped from an X5 to a Q5, I believe mostly due to BMW pricing.

Can you tag people here?

i dont know anyone else?

i went to the dark side (which i assume most of you know which brand im referring to) once mine was totaled i leased one then once my lease ended i test drove a E70 since i wanted to get back into a truck again but i was worried about the long term issues since i had a BMW up until 100k mileage and the money i spent on the E53 doesnt make sold on getting another BMW..

I went from BMW X5 to an Audi twice, and I'll never go back to BMW because:

1) BMW is ridiculously over priced
2) maintenance after the warranty is ridiculous if anything major happens.

That being said, I'm done with German cars altogether. I had an accident in my 2016 Q5 on Thanksgiving and the front of the car basically disintegrated, while the 2013 Hyundai Elantra drove away with a cracked bumper and a broken tail light. And when I say disintegrated, i mean $12k in damage from a mild rear ender. It's also had 5 recalls in 2 years.

I've already ordered a 2018 Tahoe to replace the Audi once it's fixed.

Nothing personal about BMW or Audi, I'm just done with both for those reasons.

I get that, the car i got into an accident went drove away and while my front wasnt disintegrated the frame was destroyed from the inside (given the impact).. its not that i dont miss the car, i miss the handling and i had about 10 years worth of memories in that car too

Sorry to hear about the accident, I hope you're OK.

Glad to hear you are ok.

As you know cars today have crash zones to absorb energy. It sounds like your Audi did just that.

Nope. You would have to see the pictures to understand.
