Only ONE Episode of Top Gear in 2006

"I think there will be one episode of Top Gear in 2006, on a Thursday, in August", says Clarkson

WHAT!!!

Top Gear is clearly the best car show on TV, so hearing that they may not have a 2006 season is a heart breaker. I mean come on no Chappelle and no Top Gear, it must be the end of days.

Seriously though, Clarkson has a write up on the Top Gear website which tells of the amount of work that goes into each episode (http://www.topgear.com/content/featu...ries/01/1.html) and why the season has been shortened. I intend to write into BBC Two (http://www.bbc.co.uk/feedback/) and share my angst and desire for them to do whatever it takes to do a full season.

yeah I got hooked on TopGear just last fall, watched all the episodes I could get my hands on, and now nothing!!!!

Aren't those all re-runs? I know I saw Miura episode already and unless Ferrari has built an Enzo II, I've seen the Million Dollar Supercar episode. If I am wrong please correct me... I so want to be wrong.

But if I am right, we will soon be watching 3 year old 5th Gear episode and 2 year old Top Gears.

My Tivo lists Ferrari's Million Dollar Supercar with an original air date of 8/17/2005. Britian's Weirdest Car, 9/14/2005.
All other episodes have 2/9/2006 as the original air date, I am looking forward to my Top Gear fix!
