This was reported last night...
GWEN IFILL: Homeland Security Department Inspector General Richard Skinner said FEMA purchased thousands of unneeded or unusable mobile homes. RICHARD SKINNER: We determined that FEMA purchased nearly 25,000 manufactured homes at a cost of $857 million, and around 1,300 modular homes at a cost of $40 million. As seen in this aerial photo, almost 11,000 of those manufactured homes are sitting on runways in the open fields in Hope, Arkansas. Since they were not properly stored -- as you can see from this second picture -- the homes are sinking in the mud and their frames are bending from sitting on trailers with no support.

Katrina Report Released...
 A member of the panel says the report list the location of the four pillars of the nation's executive disaster recovery team, "President Bush was on vacation at the Texas ranch; Vice President Cheney was fly-fishing in Wyoming; (Secretary of Defense) Donald Rumsfeld was at a San Diego Padres game; and (Homeland Security Chief) Michael Chertoff, the man whose job it was to manage our country's resources and organize the response to this horrific hurricane, didn't even know he was in charge and decided to stay home." BTW... (Secretary of State) Condoleezza Rice was in New York City where she took in a play, went shopping, and played tennis with Monica Seles.
