Ultimate Drive - Part One (large files)

So, I signed up for the Ultimate Drive event. For those of you who do not know, BMW sponsors the "Ultimate Drive" to raise mondy for the Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer research. Here is the link: http://www.bmwusa.com/bmwexperience/...Programs/UDSK/

This year, the event was kicked off here in Charlotte -- Hendrick BMW. Anyway, so I am on my way there, and I see a sheriff-escorted parade coming my way. I, naturally, slam on the brakes (almost causing the poor guy behind me to rear-end me), pull off into the median, and start taking pictures...

Once I get there, I go up to my SA, and say, "Hey, man... there is something wrong with my car." He says, "oh, no... what?" I say (as I had him a 20), "Well, all that dirt is affecting my drag co-efficiency. It's just not driving like it should." He says, "I'll take care of that," to which I respond, "please... and, by hand, please?" He grins, and says, "Yep, I know. You did not even have to say that." Anyway... more on that later.

Here are some pictures of the inside of the dealership.

Contined on Part Two...

I was gonna signup too since I've never done it. Does everyone have to ride around in a pink striped 3 series? Are there other cars to choose from? Are they are pink striped?

They ALL have the pink ribbon painted on, yes. They do have most models, however. I saw 3-, 5-, and 6-series, X3s and X5s. No Ms and no 7-series.

They had the 745iL and 745i two years ago... I transported the iL. Hate i-drive, but LOVED the heated/cooled/massage seats. No M's for insurance purposes.

Very cool! I have transported cars for them and was part of a parade of silver/pink BMW's driving, um, a little above the speed limit. It was quite a site though.

You lucky dog...!

It was indeed a blast. Nothing like driving an open rag top on a beautiful day like today... especially when that rag top is a 6-series.

Man, as much as I love to, I think that 6er is a little out of my price range.

Sweet car, though.

Juan
