OK Guys Spring Break Starts This Friday...OPINIONS!!

So her is the deal, Me and 3 of my friends are taking a road trip to my grandmother's house in Tampa, FL. We will be driving my friends 2004 325i because it has the least mileage out of all our cars (11,000miles). We are planning on checking out the X5/Z4 facility in S. Carolina...and visit some friends in NY along the way....We are trying to make this a road trip experience and don't really have any deadlines or schedules...what do you guys suggest us checking out.....

Are you looking for an itinerary your Grandmother would approve or an itinerary you don't want your Grandmother to know about? Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, DeSoto State Park (voted best beach in the USA)? Sebring, as mentioned, Offshore Powerboat School in Sarasota, or do you want to spend your money one dollar bill at a time helping someone make her TransAm payments?

B/t/w, the Spartanburg stop is well worth it even though the factory is closed for tours...hit the gift shop and take a look at the cars and motors they have displayed.

If you're in college, on Spring Break - that's easy - find the girls. I doubt they are hanging around the BMW factory in Spartanburg. That would be the absolute last place I would waste 10 minutes of my Spring Break on.

From TPA, you can hit Daytona (2 hours away). Also, the beaches in Pinellas have a Spring Break, but this side of the state is prudish compared to the East Coast.

Depends on what you want. Relaxed fun = West Coast. Crazy spring break stuff = east coast. Spartanburg does not register. You'll have plenty of time for that when you're old like the rest of us.

Wherever you go, designate a driver. FL puts up with a lot from Spring Breakers - driving drunk is not one of those things. There are mucho extra patrols out looking for just that this time of year - be careful, and have a blast.

Good advice from ylwjacket. Especially regarding drunk driving. But Tampa is a port city. Port cities have sailors. Where there are sailors there are bars. Of all kinds. Google "Ybor City" and "topless". If you want the full blast of S/B Lauderdale is the place, but round trip it's a haul from Tampa. Either way, we are the epicenter of culture and civilization.

I still say stop in for a quick look in Spartanburg. It's this massive white modern factory in the middle of nowhere...you will never see an employee parking lot with so many BMWs. And folks are really nice in SC.

Ok guys well I am finally back and luckily still in one piece...back to school tomorow!!! I never ended up going to Spartnaburg because it would of been a waste of time. On the ride down to Tampa we stopped at Daytona Beach...which was absolutely crazy because of bike week and Spring Break....the we continued down to Tampa...hit up some of the clubs at Ybor City...but beccause i'm 19 and my fake failed me I couldn't get into too many places...also went to the HArd Rock Casino to loose some money....after Tampa we drove down to Miami and got a hotel for a few nights...that place is absolutely amazing...but many of the places were 21 plus..so we had to pregame at the hotel and go out to the clubs that wer 18/19 +.....none the less spring break was awsome and can't wait for next year...maybe next year

P.s. regarding FF and GGW...I had a guys come up to me selling tickets to get into the bar where they were throwing a party..but they checked i.d. ohh well 1.5 more years!
