She outta be happy it won the Spirit award and be done with it. Lobbying for votes has been done for a loooooong time. If that's what got Crash the win, so be it. I haven't seen Brokeback, but Crash was an excellent film. It was timely for this year as well.

Crash is a great movie, Brokeback will be gone like a one hit wonder, remembered only for the jokes. Please take your best director oscar and sore losing and go away. and what about the screenplay writer jackass wearing jeans to the oscars, what an idiot. I don't own a suit but i wouldn't wear wranglers to the oscars

Crash was a great film. Have not seen BBM. I am guessing Crash had a broader social message. Great script, great editing. It was a film that earned BP, end of discussion. What a shrew that gal is--Anybody who gets a book published that gets optioned for a film that actually gets made and released and breaks even at the box office, should be, to quote a forum member, "fookin' grateful".
