Anybody Test Drive the New Audi Q7?

I think it is scheduled for a spring delivery, however, we might have some connected folks that had a shot behind the wheel.

4.2L 350 hp, seating for 7, 200.2" length, quattro awd. Looks pretty cool.

More reliable than the Touareg and the Cayenne? Audi seems to be making some really nice vehicles.

Where will it be built? Don't even think about it for at least a year....

C&D swoons: "the Q7 has its own distinctive sheetmetal that we think is the best-looking of the three". Yah sure. And Martha Stewart is an options trader. Have you seen it from side? It has a huge honkin' front end. Audi's car are looking very sweet, though.

the rear should be enough to keep you far, far away from the Q7.

I tried to like it, I really did. The front I love, the interior I can live with, but the rear... Words can not describe the distaste I have for the rear of the Q7.

Everyone says the interiors of Audi's are so nice. I can see how one could say this about an A8, but I don't find the interiors of an A3/A4/A6/Q7 to be anything special. I'd take the X5 interior over the Q7's anyday... maybe i just can't see it?

Update: Got a Sebring report back from an Audi-phile who was there (the oil burner won b/t/w) and he said it looks pretty cool in the flesh. Don't know if he walked around the back. He said they are launching with a TDI variant. I may get pictures. I would just be so leery of anything that is even close to a Touareg, though.

I saw it at the DC auto show. Tried to get into the front passenger seat, but there's NO headroom! Eff that noise.

Except for the TT- Audi interiors look to me like they're geared towards those whose order at Fourbucks goes kinda like this: "I'll do a grande decaf half skim half soy no whip mochachino with an extra shot of espresso and one turbinado sugar and one Splenda with 2 ice cubes"

She and the Audi get sheetmetal updates every 5 years or so.

The airbags are the latest technology...5xwen never dreamed his thread would be soooo hijacked. Will the Q7 be shipped into ports run by Dubai?
