Heaven on Earth, my friend. Enjoy the majesty that is our greatest National Park. Too bad the X can't go...I'll be taking Myself and my X there in September for 25+ backcountry miles....Enjoy!

OK, here's what you do:
1) Enter Park.
2) Find campground.
3) Go with the flow.

Yosemite is one of my favorite places to visit. Check out www.nps.gov/yose/home.htm and www.nps.gov/yose/wilderness/ and www.yosemite.org for more info. If you want an easy hike stroll up to the base of Yosemite Falls. A little longer, but still easy is the Happy Isles Trailhead that gets to the base of Vernal falls about 1 mile from Curry Village. If you are feeling adventurous, take the Four Mile Trail to the top of Glacier Point from the valley floor. It is a tough climb, but the vew is incredible almost all the way up. The waterfalls will be spectacular with all of the recent snow and rain.

Camping? Been there, done that (Bar Harbor,Maine, Acadia National Park) I have a few words to suggest to you. "Room Service" "Hot Showers" "Heated Bathroom" I'm glad I went and we had a blast, but once was enough.

So enjoy, take things in stride, friendship is worth more than any problem you may have, and remember no matter how bad it may get, these few days are only a split second in your life, and you can get through ANYTHING knowing it won't be for long. (like going thru military college)

Who knows, you may actually like it!
