Yep, he actually did get away too. At the end, they showed the same clip where he slows down and is about to turn around, making it look like he stopped, or ran out of gas. Also, it's an E30.

yeah the Camaro barely missed the bimmer braking - imagine if it had been another civilian car he had to avoid

This reminds me of the spirited debate we had last Dec about the cop that died in pursuit...he also was driving the Z28......Did anyone notice...he only got caught because it mechanically failed...he would probably still be running.
