What do you guys think of this X?

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...007_jaguar_xk/

I know it's a Jag and probably will have issues, but it's a pretty hot car, even if it does look like an Aston Martin.

I like it! My neighbors have Jaguar XJ8's and those are very nice cars.....very smooth and comfortable, but they handle like boats.

Looks awesome from the back, and love the interior. The front (of the production & concept cars) not so much...

However, the original front sketches were very promising indeed. If anyone is interested I can look them up...

not a fan of the front, jags should not look like astons and vice versa...

well it is designed by the same guy who did the Astons.

"A Callum car...at one level, that's all you need to know about the new XK (and it's just XK, there's no numeric suffix): It's drop-dead gorgeous, just like Ian Callum's Astons, all aggressive haunches and beautifully surfaced sheetmetal pulled drum-tight over the mechanicals. "I have a set of rules by which I design cars," he says. "I'm not going to dumb down just because I'm working on a Jaguar."

I think it is an unfortunate declawing of the XK's. The front end looks like a Ford Taurus or a Mercury Sable. Awful. A friend has an XKR and the whole car looks so aggressive and muscular, ready to attack. Now it looks like it belongs in the rental fleet at Budget.

I agree! The front end is a complete let-down in my opinion. Also the car has a rather odd shape if you look at it sideways. Long in the tooth, too.

The '02 Taurus has the most resemblance to the new Jag down to the crossbar in the grill. It's got a bit of a MKIV Supra from the hood back to the windshield.

I agree with everyone else - the rest of the car looks nice. But it doesn't look like a classic to me.

Prediction - a facelift by year 2 or 3. That snout has got to change.

I know, but I still don't like it.... if they want a jagmartin, call it a jagmartin and discontinue jaguar and aston martin...
