There was a movie like that, Robert Redford and Michelle Pfiffer, can't think of the name, but yes, they all do look alike. I guess the networks don't believe in mods either.

I don't see what her appeal is as a show host, maybe she plays well in the midwest or something, but overall I think she's about as deep as a puddle and has horrible interviewing skills. Matt the chimp isn't much better either... both of them need to understand that when you're interviewing someone, people want to hear what the guest has to say, not kouric's/lauer's take on it for 3 minutes and 20 seconds of sound bites from the guest....

I think they would of been better using Ann Curry.

I woulda liked Ann Curry or anyone from the gaggle of
news babes that are floating around the networks these days.

And, Bob Schieffer was doing a good job and brings some
Creds from his Sunday am show and long career,imo.

But, the network suits, most of whom seem as original
as a pack of chimps, are chasing the hot new "style".

In all, as a semi-news junkie, most of the evening network news
has become 22 mins of sound/audio bites, imo.

Other than the "ad rev"/ratings arm wrestle, I suspect it
makes lil' diff whom is reading from teleprompter.

Meredith has been around for a long time. Used to be in NYC decades ago. After a long absentice, I noticed her name starting to crop up time to time. Seems to me CBS only hires people over 50 (and keeps them until 90). Unfortunately, the last anchor they had who kept personal opinion out of his reporting was Walter Cronkite.
