Suggestions Ticketing to Canary Islands

Need to get from MIA or MCO to Lanzarote, but this time will have a limited endurance, stroke-disabled family member travelling with nurse. Have been pounding Expedia, LTU, Virgin, Iberia, etc. Anyone know of a direct to Gran Canaria or is there no choice but to go Virgin via London or Iberia to Madrid? Anybody know if there are any upgrade programs out there for disabled seniors? All advice welcome. Anyone want to go somewhere completely different, check out http://www.alondravillas.com/
