Cingular 8125 review

Wanted to give a quick review on this as I had asked the lounge for feedback. I have to say.. so far this phone is pretty awesome and feature packed. Voice commands works great... much better than the moto's, Screen is relatively sharp. On par with my Blackberry7800c and much better than the Treo's I've played with. Active Sync is pretty fast. Mp3 Sound quality is good. Haven't had a chance to test outlook integration since my work does have Exch 2003 Sp2 push feature enabled. (possibly due to conflict of interest with our primary vendor BB)... I have set up a VmWare session running on one of my host to emulate my outlook session... The push is delayed about 15 mins which is not very acceptable. The 1.3 megal pixel cam/video cam is awesome... quality is good for what it is.. a smart phone.. Bluetooth integration on this phone is very good. Even transfers the phone book now to BMW bluetooth. Finally.. the best function so far... Mobile Slingplayer.. Just installed and played around with it. Was sitting at a restaurant at lunch and watching baseball on ESPN... pretty cool experience..

Glad you brought this up as my Nextel phone just bit the dust. This may be too much phone for me. I need to confine my choice to the Treo 650 or the Blackberry 7100i. But thanks for the info. Very interesting. I have a friend who's been doing the slingbox thing so I passed it along. If I could just get the Treo under $400.00 unlocked(no data plan) That might be my ticket but it's been hard finding a local supplier for that price. I had a lead at Palm but that fell thru so i'm back to the drawing board. Nope I wont go E-bay don't like the fact that there is no re-course for bad products.

Amit i use the 8700 at work, its a nice little unit, geared more to be a phone compared with some other blackberries. the buttons on it (the placement) is a bit aggravation point for a lot of people. the screen is nice and crisp and the battery life is decent however if i was to get one it would be a treo

well the 650 is better from what i hear than the 700 but i would wait because where theres a 700 theres a 750 to follow lol... the blackberry is nice but its definitly not as versatile as the treo plus i like my outlook look and feel to calendar and contacts and the real feel of a small computer, (im a techie go figure)

Actually, not really a big fan of Windows Mobile, however, yes, there is a new Treo 700p (yes Palm OS) coming out for Sprint & Verizon sometime this summer. More memory and supports EV-DO for the CDMA network.

For my uses, the Treo 650 has been excellent!!

I had both the treo 650 and 700, I have to say the 650 is much more user friendly than the 700, windows mobile sucks!
