Pair of Redtailed Hawks...
A big old dead white oak down the slope from our deck view, is often a perch for raptors all season. These 2 look like a paired up Redtail hawk fam. They show up almost every morning for a while to survey the valley. The background gives some sense of the altitude and the distance down to the next lower ridge. Thanks for looking... BR,md

I was actually thinking of your photos last week when I went to Queenstown in New Zealand for a few days. The autumn trees and the mountains were superb.
