House is sold

The site of so many great X5 Meets is sold and settlement will be in late June. It was time to move on - taking care of a 135 year old farm house is no fun and it left me with little time on the week-ends to really relax or travel or get out on the motorcycle.

While there are a number of great rememberances that I will have about the house, one of the greatest will be the events we had with so many of you. The first East Meet was the week-end after 9/11 and there developed a special bond amongst all of us there that I cherish to this day. Who can forget the free handouts, THE BANNER, the pool, the scavenger hunt, crazy events like the donut burnout leading to a police chase by a not to be named representative of an unnamed performance parts marketer or playing follow the leader with Obi and his U.N.-Spec X5 as the leader? I thank all of you who participated for adding to the great memories I'll have of the old house.

Yes, I still lurk here. This is a cozy board for me that is relaxing and enjoyable and I get to keep up with you guys and all the silliness and jokes and good natured ribbing that goes on among old friends.

Now for a real OT question: who makes a killer gas grill?

Great to see you around here. Your walk down memory lane reminds me of reading about those great meets way back in the days of another BMW forum that shall remain nameless.

As for the grill, people who own Webers would fight to the death for their grills so they must be pretty good.

I'd consider bopp'n down to D.C. if I wasn't busy boxing up all the valve caps I have down in the basement.

We're moving about 7 miles West on Rt. 3, towards West Chester. We're empty nesters, so we're down sizing to a townhouse. At least I'll have a garage.

Wow, I'll miss that place Trex! So no more pool for the dog. We gotta give Larry a visit for an 'ol traditional non-meet. Or maybe have him, D and Jr drive up.

Yeah, good thing townhouses come with two car garages now. We're so happy and content with our townhouse here in West Chester.

as for gas grills... Weber gas grills are pretty shoddy compared to those. I would go DCS or Viking.

He failed to mention budget right? If no budget cap, then you are right on. Weber is very good quality for the money though.
