Warren Buffet Drives a Lincoln Town Car

Interesting little list of what the big wallets own...I think Ellison has the right idea.

on Ellison. Dell is compensating for some other small thing in his life. But like Bill Gates and Paul Allen's choice although they can afford even better as their daily driver.

"....it took a federal law signed by President Clinton for Bill Gates to legally drive his 959 on American roads. Rumor has it that Bill Gates and Paul Allen employed Microsoft engineers to write a computer program that could simulate the 959’s crashworthiness, which helped in the bill’s passage."

Looks like a balanced group of folks. A TV program on last night discussed the lifestyle of billionairs. Trump and others what they drove, how they encouraged their kids to work for what THEY get. And the point i liked the most made by Trumphs son. My dads a billionair i'm not.

I think the list is just a tiny little peek. I would bet that all of these guys have a warehouse of cars somewhere. There's no way in hell that I'd buy Michael Dell owning an H2 and an '04 Boxster. I'd bet my left nut that he's got a collection of Ferraris stashed somewhere.

All of these billionaires live in mansions of humungous proprotions - if I remember right, Bill Gates' manse is 66,000 SF. I would think all of them would have something bigger than a 2 car garage.

Of course the exceptions are probably the Waltons who keep all their money under the mattress.

No shortage of parking in Gates house.
"Gates has a underground garage which can hold couple of dozen cars. The maintenance staff have their own car garages. Nanny parks in the 6-car carport across from the main entry. An additional 10-cars can be parked in a subterranean arched concrete building which through an electronic transformation becomes a basketball court."

yes. I know for sure that Larry Ellison still has his McLaren F1 along with and F355 in the stable. I've seen him on 101 in both on a sunday cruise with the FChat folks.

WarrenBuffet may be a financial genious and one of the best entrepreneurs and self made men in the world. But he is extremely weird. One track mind and knows nothing about anything else besides what he is good at which is making money. Ask him how the weather is or how he is doing and he draws a blank. I met him and talked to him for about 10 minutes when he came and gave a speech at my university like 10 years ago and he hung out with us after in the business school. He is brilliant at what he does. But like i said extremely weird and it is no surprise that he drives a lincoln town car. when he can buy any car in the world at the drop of a hat.

well i didnt actually ask him how the weather is. I just used it as an example that if you ever get a chance to meet him. Dont bother trying to talk to him about anything else than his business. Because he will look at you with a blank look on his face and get all confused. He even looks really weird in person. Very animated also when he talks.
