Insurance advice? Got hit.

I was hit over the Memorial Day weekened. Clearly the other drivers fault. Basically I got hit on the passenger side front wheel, fender and bumper area. The driver switched into my lane without using signal or looking over. I got a $3500 check for the initial estimate. Is there anything in praticular I should ask for or any advice would be appreciated. What about my car's diminshed value?

Oh yeah; no one was hurt. I'm driving a $22 a day rental by the way. I was told by the guys at the rental place that I should get a like vehicle. But I knew they were just trying to get more money from the insurance company. My question is that could I just take the money and not take the rental? The other parties insurance is paying for everything.

I will be getting my headlight replaced; I have the facelifted headlight and I'm getting about $600 for it. If anyone is interested in the euro clears; PM me. You can pay the difference and give me your facelifted ones. I would do it but I'm low on funds right now.
