Pics from BMW Performance Delivery Center pickup
Now it's approaching the 1 year anniversary of the M3 and the other day someone wanted to know if it is worth it doing the PDC pickup.
I would do it again in a heartbeat!  Well, last year we decided to pick up our Carbon Black M3 at the BMW PDC. BMW NA will pick up the tab for one night stay at the local Greenville, SC Marriott. When we landed in Greenville/Spartanburg Airport, right by the baggage claim was an Oxford Green X5 "built proudly in South Carolina". (Being this is X5World, I should show some X5 pics!)

 Here pics of the lobby of the PDC. Actually the whole complex is huge. The factory/Zentrum/Museum is on the other side of the highway. And they dedicated this side for the PDC and driving training course. You can see the entrance of the Zentrum. Click here to see the BMW PDC Sat. View Here are your X5 Angels! Nice pics, Dr. Kewl. I have almost identical pics for most of those (In fact my pic of the X at the airport is creepily similar), because I did the two day teen school there... It was so fun! Did they let you do the BMW Buffet, where you drive the whole lineup?
My input is that the Performance Center is AWESOME and if you're thinking about it, do it. If you've got the time, why not?!

When we did the PDC pick up, since we got a M3, we got to drive their M3 on their track at the PDC.
Glad you got to do the teen school there. It is a great place for a BMW fan! Quote:

Here you can see the whole BMW complex. You can see the BMW Assembly Plant/Zentrum the other side of the highway (BELOW THE BMW PDC on the Sat Map)
You can see the Zentrum area. There are classic BMWs in the museum. Also, you can see the famous X5 that was tested in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety which rated the 2001 X5 the safest vehicle they ever tested in their entire history of testing cars. Link to IIHS's crash test on the X5 Also, you can see the famous patriotic X5 in the front of the Zentrum!

After doing the driving school (have tons of video but forgot to take pics!)....we did the Zentrum tour/Factory tour (no pictures) and had lunch. The hot rod instructor did stunt driving laps in the M3 as we rode as a passenger (also video clip that I'll upload later).
Then finally, at the end of the day, we finally get to pick up our car!  You can see the M3 in the all-glass delivery room! Carbon Black with Cinnamon interior.

I already did. These pics were from last year. In the end we broke the car in by putting 5K miles in 2.5 weeks!
