Question Glass cleaner for the home reco??

Ok, I'm sick and tired of shitty glass cleaners for cleaning windows in my home. Windex sucks balls. I am well aware of the newspaper trick, and I use that when cleaning the windshield on my X, but I am really looking for a recommendation for a really, really good "streak free" glass cleaner for the home.

Whatcha got?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry Greg, can't help you here. Windex and papertowels don't work for me either.

Old skool method. Clean however you like . I start off with newspaper + windex.
The key is the rinse phase. Try vinegar+ water 30/70 and newspaper to wipe off ! Works like a charm everytime.

Just don't do this on tinted windows.........water/microfibers only for those ;-)

Ok, this seems to be the best so far from my brief search on Google. Have any of you used it?

Sprayway

SG: I have tried them All, I think...I sold Sprayway stuff, (a small sideline that they Private Label packed for us), inc. that window/glass cleaner. Every printing pressroom in the US had a case of that with our co. name on it: it is ok...works very well on some glass, no diff than Windex style on other glass, so I can't give it two thumbs up. Stoner's is ok, Perfect glass is hype, and all the rest are about the freaking same, imo.

I'm with ChiefWong on his method.

And, clean them in the shade.

STONER (don't laugh at the name).

http://www.autogeek.net/stoninglas.html

When I used to run a detail shop that was the only glass cleaner I used. Oddly I also use it at home to clean my granite countertops, does a better job then half the polishes out there. PLUS, it doesn't mess up the look of your cars finish at all if there is overspray (and it goes on as a foam mist).

I'm with Wagner. I only use Stoner glass cleaner on cars and at home. You can get just about anywhere, including Pep Boys, Walmart, Kmart, etc.

Stuff works great!

Although, Wagner, I don't think I would use it on my granite countertops. The stuff likely eats away any of the sealer on the stone, making it more susceptible to stains. I was told not to use anything on granite containing ammonia. Just my opinion.

isopropyl alcohol is the only glass cleaner you'll ever need. And put some rain-x in your washer fluid bottle, and then you won't need the alcohol either
