Estroil 4.8is is on a distinguished road
She said YES, YES, YES!!!! We are engaged!!!!

First off I wanted to say thanks to technomage for his idea!!! Lori and I both love NYC and I have never heard of the Promenade, It's located in Brooklyn Heights. I've only seen pictures of the beautiful NYC skyline taken from there. I was so much more then I hoped for, it turned out perfect I took the 2 1/2 hour ride each way on friday to check out the area and it beautiful even during the day. I actually taped 2 small signs, that said WILL YOU MARRY ME LORI, to the side of the railings. I put one at each end just incase someone took them off. I was surprised that when I went back sunday night to ask her that they both were still there . The night I asked it actually was sprinkling and still light out when we got there so we decided to eat at the Heights Cafe. As soon as we sat down it stared to pour and was the windy was blowing it sideways. I was getting nervous that it was going to be a mess out there by the time we were done. The rain made it seem more romantic though. The cafe was dimly lite and the tables had candles at every table. We had a nice table in the corner by ourselfs.

But by the time we finished eating the rain completely stopped. We walked back to the Promenade and there was no one there! The walkway was wet and reflected the walkway lights, It looked awesome and the skyline was unbelieveable. We could see the Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, etc... And the sound of the traffic running underneath was almost hypnotizing. She kept telling me it was like we were in a movie. So while she was video taping the skyline I asked her "Did you see this on the railing" Thats when I got down on one knee and asked the question. She started crying and said YES, YES, YES!!! We hugged and kissed in the headlights of the traffic below us. It was magical. It's something that we will never forget! Again thanks so much for your help Technomage I would never have found this place and I would not have picked a better place to ask. Rob
