Kleen Wheels are OK per Bavarian Autosport

Granted, they sell the things, but Bavarian Autosport is claiming that the Kleen Wheels are fine. Everyone here, and even my own Service Advisor at the dealership, says they can overheat the brakes, leading to failure or warped rotors. In the latest BA newsletter (page 3), they claim this is not true.

Thoughts?

I've always cleaned with soap and water with a wash mitt. That and combination of dustless pads do wonders.

imo, those things look horrid, plus i don't see how the rear brakes wouldn't overheat. just get some dustless pads and call it a day. the wheels will look fine in between car washes.

I wouldn't take the chance and I agree that they look bad. If I'm putting anything behind my wheels it'll be a set of these sweet badboys.

One might as well complete the look of the rest of the car and get them anyway

They were the worst 60 quid I ever spent. Looked terrible, overheated and warped.

The finish also chipped alot.

I agree with others dustless pads, regular shampoo and water even if not the whole car. Plus I got into the habit of a quick wipe with microfibre cloth and water when I get home. two minutes a wheel. To be fair though they are 22 and easy to get into. But I used to do the same on my 19's no problems, makes a big difference.

Very funky and very cool. Now that is the true essence of modding. But no dust covers needed if yer truly stylin' with some 28" condos.

Even better....just do what all Asian drivers do....not use the brakes....thus, no brake dust!
