Question about buying..

I've been looking for new cars, as you all probably know. I'm probably going to go for a CPO 5-series. If I wanted to buy from my dealer, would I have to buy something from their inventory? I found a perfect 2004 545i at Foreign Motors West in Natick.. Is there any way I could buy that car from Tulley (My dealer)? Also, could I go to the dealer and have them search for a CPO 5-series with the options, color, etc., that I want?

Thanks guys.

I would stay away from from a 545i.. first year car.. lots of problems. CPO doesn't mean they fixed alll the problems

I've also been looking at 2003 530/540s.. I haven't found any with less than 60,000 miles though.

530 is better choice. 540 not as bulletproof although a bit more powerful.

I've seen more 530i's for sale too... More choices. There's a nice one for sale at an independant BMW sales/service place near my house that I have my eye on.

I know the 3.0 I-6 is a great engine though. My 330 has never once broken down.. Except the engine coils at 50,500 miles. There's another 530i for sale at the same place.. Automatic though.

You can only get the car CPO'ed from that praticular BMW center. Your dealer might be willing to find your specific car that's CPO'ed but might not give you that good of a deal. I was looking at some 525 and 530 that priced pretty nice here in Colorado.

Tulley BMW doesn't have a very big pre-owned selection.. They have plenty of 3-series, but only 3 or 4 5-ers. I've found some nice 530i's online.. At places like Foreign Motors West in Natick, MA.. And I found a really nice one at Westchester BMW in New York. I'm wondering if Tulley could get something like that for me.
