Any International Culinary Headhunters?

This board touches so many issues, I thought maybe someone could help out.
I am looking for an Executive Chef that specializes in Fine dining Mediterranean cuisine for one of my restaurants in Warsaw, Poland. Had a bit of a fall out with my current Exec. Chef (Very talented French Chef) due to his liquor problems
I’m still a bit upset about the whole situation, because we did manage to become one of the leading restaurants in Warsaw. I just find it a bit tough to swallow that a professional, 20 years older than me would make such basic career damaging mistakes

Sorry guys, just needed to let out some steam.

i've been talking to some friends of mine about opening a nice restaurant also... and none of us can cook LOL

but one of the ideas we've thrown around is to contact some of the featured chef's from the cooking shows (foodtv and fine living) and see where that gets us... celebrity chef status perhaps...

I'm not too sure its that easy. Most celebrity chefs are booked for at least the next 6 months (otherwise, he's not much of a celebrity ). Another issue would be financial, these guys don't come cheap.

I managed to get a famous Spanish Chef from a leading restaurant in Madrid. It took 4 months of planning and I don't think I'm going to do it again in some time.

I'll pass the word around with the future mrs.'s relatives in Warsaw, Jacek. You indeed do have one of the finest restaurants in all of Europe!

Any idea what the visa situation would be like for an American citizen to work there?

Thanks JV The visa is just a formality for US citizens. You get a 90 day entry visa and during that time apply for a 2-3 yr work visa. Presto
