Yes, she is insane. How could an sane person do what she did? The question is whether insanity can be equated to being not guilty.

Welcome to America.... sometimes don't you just love our justice system. That woman should fry and her lawyers should be ashamed of themselves for winning the case.

Am I the only one here who thinks that a woman who kills her young children is insane? If she was sane, then what was her motive for killing them?

This not guilty verdict is not going to result in her going home. She will most likely spend the rest of her life in a mental hospital, which is where she belongs.

Not guilty by reason of insanity....a cop out verdict.

Yes, she may well be insane. She may NOT spend the rest of her life in custody. She could easily convince her doctors in a few years that she is "no longer a danger to herself or others", and be set free. Ref: Hinckley.

The verdict should be "Guilty and insane". I am even OK with not having the death penalty for those that are insane, but it still should be life without parole, at least.
