Exclamation Car Insurance need help

Good day guys

Im from Minnesota and I am shopping around for my car insurance and I'm hoping I can get opinions from everybody here about which ones to avoid and which ones you have had a good experience with. I have been surfing the net for good insurance, I came into http://www.insurancepaylite.com has anyone tried online insurance? how effective is the online quote system? can i depend my money on this?

thanks in advance.

I bought coverage from Progressive Direct's web site. They give you a quote online. Their price was cheaper than State Farm, Allstate, etc. Most people think of them as a sub-standard carrier for bad drivers or people with poor credit ratings. In an effort to balance out their portfolio, they are seeking out low-risk customers. So if you have a strong credit rating and a clean driving record, they will give you a great price.

I was a little nervous that Progressive would have lousy customer service or would try to cheap-out on any claims. But I recently had my first claim with them, and they were very responsive and didn't try to nickel and dime me. They also let me choose my own repair facility.

I've also heard Amica is a great insurance company -- good prices, good customer service, etc. They sell direct via their own web site and will quote you a price online.

I second BradATL's post. Progressive is good. You can go to their site and get a policy directly through them, they also give you prices of other companies (like the commercials say).

I was hit by someone with progressive and within about 3 hours after the accident, they had a claims rep at my house who on the spot gave me an estimate for my repairs and a check. I went to a dealer (I could have went anywher I wanted) for the repair and the check was short, they simply called Progressive who gave them an additional check for the difference. I was really impressed with how they handled the entire thing. I considered switching my policy to them, but I came out about $200 cheaper with Statefarm.

If the price is right, I'd go with Progressive. But I bet any of the 'major' carriers are fine - it's the smaller ones to watch out for.

State Farm isn't a good company, I'd never go with them, their claims history is not good

Lets face the facts ALL insurance carriers SUCK! They have no problem collecting your premiums but god forbid you make a claim...shop around find the best price for the best available coverage in your region and go with it...I would suggest calling an agency that deals with many different carriers, let them do the work for you to find the best prices for the coverage you want. That's what I do, I am too busy to shop around, my agent always checks the rates each year and switches me around to where the best deals are. Also if your state has an optional threshold make sure you get the best coverage and do not subject yourself to any thresholds if you are not required to do so under the laws of your state. LOL
